INVINCIBLE 2010 Landmark Event – from Unsuspecting Victories to Epic Leaps of Fame

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Toronto, ON, Canada, March 01, 2010, the countdown to KALAIKAL 2010 has reached measurable momentum while making history moving forward.

Hundreds of attendees and KALAIKAL dance team members witnessed the Oshawa Titans take home the INVINCIBLE 2010 Freestyle Dance Faceoff title. Adding to the list of victories for the night, RLE Media & Entertainment won KCAs first DJ Battle.

INVINCIBLE 2010 – The Official Countdown to KALAIKAL 2010 is a fundraising event for the dance teams participating in this years Inter-College and University Dance Competition. The night ended with a mighty victory by the very energetic team; the OSHAWA TITANS. Eight college and university dance teams came together to scope out their fellow competitors, entering their top male and female dancers into the battle to provide a preview of the ultimate dance competition taking place on March 28th at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre located on the CNE Grounds.

Attendees witnessed the Oshawa Titans’ great leap to victory as it was being STREAMED LIVE on the KCA website, with an impressive 19,995 unique hits and over 1300 live viewers. Not only is this a landmark event for KCA but a testament to the amount of unity that all the teams continue to showcase, carrying forward the true spirit of the arts that motivates many of the talented individuals in the community.

KCA would also like to address an incident that occurred after the completion of INVINCIBLE 2010. As the night ended with all the attendees exiting the venue, external members unaffiliated with KCA, KALAIKAL’s partners or participants, took part in an act of violence towards another group of attendees leaving the venue.

These types of acts are condemned by KCA, and further relay that the commitment to safety and ensuring the wellbeing of our participants and partners are of up most importance. With full confidence and commitment KCA will continue to work diligently to secure the continued safety of all our stakeholders and attendees.

KCA continues to work hard towards the mission of Unity, Identity, and Charity. We applaud all the teams for
their unified front and their commitment to the arts and hope that there is a continued effort to work hard and uphold this mission as KCA’s artistic ventures continue to expand.
